These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of https://paperpapa.com (the “Site”) and the PaperPapa membership (“Service”), operated by PaperPapa (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
PaperPapa is an independent study resource created by a group of HKDSE top scorers. We are not a school, tutorial centre, or government body, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the HKEAA or any examinations authority.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and verify your email to access member content.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. Accounts are personal — do not share your login or let others use your access.
- For security, you may be signed in on up to 3 devices at once; signing in on a fourth signs out the oldest device.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. The Service
PaperPapa provides access to authentic HKDSE English Paper 2 writing scripts together with our own markings, corrections, examiner-style explanations, vocabulary notes and model rewrites, for your personal, non-commercial study. Some scripts are free to registered members; others require a paid subscription. We may add, change, or remove content over time.
4. Subscriptions, pricing and billing
Paid plans are annual subscriptions that automatically renew each year until cancelled:
- Single — HK$70 / year — unlocks both Part A and Part B of one candidate (the candidate is the unit you buy, not a single page).
- Year bundle — HK$500 / year — unlocks every script of one exam year.
- All-access — HK$2,000 / year — unlocks every script across all years, plus new additions.
By subscribing you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge the applicable fee now and again at each annual renewal, using your saved payment method, until you cancel. Prices are in Hong Kong Dollars. We may change prices for future renewal periods; we will make changes clear before they take effect, and you can cancel if you do not agree.
5. Cancellation (“cancel any time”)
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your dashboard (Manage subscription & billing). When you cancel: future charges stop; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for (no immediate cut-off); and there is no pro-rata refund for the unused part of the current period.
6. Refunds
Because the Service provides immediate digital access to content, all subscription fees are final and non-refundable once access has been provided, except where a refund is required by applicable law or is granted by us at our discretion. If we do issue a refund, the related access ends.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: copy, download in bulk, screenshot for redistribution, republish, sell, sub-license, or otherwise share the content outside your personal study; share your account, password, or access with anyone else; attempt to bypass the paywall, access controls, or image protection, or scrape or harvest content; or use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms the Site, our content, or other users. Breaking these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
8. Intellectual property
The original HKDSE examination questions and candidate scripts are the copyright of their respective owners, including the HKEAA. PaperPapa does not claim ownership of those underlying works. The markings, corrections, explanations, vocabulary notes, model rewrites, selection, arrangement, branding, and presentation that we add are our intellectual property. Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to view the content on the Site for your own study; it does not transfer any ownership or right to reproduce or distribute the content. If you are a rights holder with a concern, please contact us.
9. Scholarship submissions
If you submit material through the 5★★ Scholarship programme, the separate consent and statements shown on that form apply (including how we may review, anonymise, edit, and — if accepted — publish the material, and any reward). Only submit work you are entitled to share.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is an educational resource provided “as is”. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, grade, or outcome, and we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here is official HKEAA material or advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PaperPapa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the law. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the latest version, and significant changes will be made clear on the Site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
